Enhanced Stop the Bleed (StB) (LGBTQ+ Inclusive)
This is an Emergency First Aid class that is based around the national Stop the Bleed (StB) program and is designed for non-medical professionals to provide assistance in times of crisis.
The first section covers the basics of evaluating the scene and casualty and is approximately 1-1.5 hours.*
There will be a short break between the two sections.
The Treating Traumatic Injuries/Stop the Bleed portion is approximately 2-2.5 hours with lecture and hands-on skills for stopping life-threatening bleeding.*
Participants will be able to practice applying direct pressure, wound packing, and tourniquet application.
You will earn a Stop the Bleed certificate.
* Exact times will vary by venue as not all classes are the exact same length due to venue restrictions and availability.
